Camiguin Island Escapade: Bura Soda Cold Spring Resort

Soda Swimming Pool

“Water is life’s mater and matrix, mother and medium. There is no life without water.”

This is our fifth  destination.
For the first part of my Camiguin trip story: Camiguin Introduction
Here is the first destination: Katibawasan Falls
Here is the second destination: Sto. Niño cold Spring
Here is the third destination: Ardent Hot spring
Here is the fourth destination: Tuasan Falls

Having been to Tuasan Falls was a splash and after that awesome trek adventure we visited the Soda Cold Spring Resort at Sitio Lumad, Barangay Bura, Municipality of Catarman. Fifteen minute travel from the jump off area of Sitio Singgoc we arrived at Soda Cold Spring, We took our lunch at some small eateries just outside the resort.

Why this resort called Soda? It must be carbonated water or has a medicinal effect? I just do not know but definitely an enjoyable experience.

I did not taste the water but the great scenery amazed me over this resort, Mount Hibok – Hibok as the background and flowers all over the garden.

The resort has two huge pools and has a depth of six feet I guess. The flowing water was cold and still many local and foreign tourist at the resort.

A couple staff of the resort was asked why it was called “Soda” but they just said, “Just see it for yourself”. Hmm, somewhat scripted Hehehe. Soda was called because of its carbonated effect comes from the cracks of what was once active volcanoes. Hope I justified my own question.

All fun and relaxing moment for one hour and thirty minutes while at the resort. What a great experience! We left the resort at around four-thirty in the afternoon and as all have decided, we revisited the Ardent Hot spring to end our day with a hot bath moments. Hehehe

We returned at the resort at around eight thirty on that night and had our sumptuous dinner.

Our third day itinerary was White Island. Click here
