In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.
The weather was fine on a sunny day as we visited Cabgan Island at Barobo, Surigao del Sur. It’s a 10 -15 minutes boat ride from Barobo proper. Along our way to the island, waters are shallow as our boat was maneuvering to avoid corals when in low tide especially noon. I visited this Island before and still much the same as far as I can recall – Just been here last year.
More of my story about Cabgan Island on my previous visit : Barobo, Surigao del Sur
I’ll be posting more soon about Cabgan Island in detail.
We stayed there overnight together with the guest of “The R Tours” headed by Arthur Yap. We started our day the morning after, we did island hopping. First, we visited the Snake Island then proceeded at Turtle Island. We took round on Cabgan Island as Arthur wants to show us the Sleeping dragon rock formation which is located at the back of Cabgan Island facing the Pacific Ocean. It is not visible when your at the Mainland Barobo.
This rock formation was sculpted through hundred or thousand of years as the water splashed into it’s wall thereby carving this unique rock formation.
